Basic Mustard Recipe:
6 Tablespoons Yellow Mustard Seed
6 Tablespoons Brown/Black Mustard Seed
1-2 Tablespoons herbs, garlic, etc. (optional, can be fresh or dried)
3 Tablespoons booze (wine, brandy, whiskey, etc.)~this is also optional
1 cup vinegar (apple cider, flavored, white, red wine, etc.)
Mix all these ingredients together in a glass or stainless steel bowl, cover with plastic wrap and let set for 2-3 days.
Put mustard seed mix into a blender with ½ cup honey and 1 ½ - 2 teaspoons salt
Blend until the consistency you want, store covered in the refrigerator. This makes about 1 ½ - 2 cups of mustard.
